Conjunctions

Conjunctions act like bridges in language, connecting sentences to make your communication smoother. They help ideas flow seamlessly and make your expression clear and precise. There are three main types of conjunctions:

TypeConjunctions
Coordinatingfor, and, nor, but, or, yet, so (FANBOYS)
Subordinatingafter, although, as, because, before, if, since, so that, though, unless, until, when, where, while
Correlativeboth…and, either…or, neither…nor, not only…but also, whether…or
Conjunctive Adverbsaccordingly, also, besides, consequently, furthermore, hence, however, instead, likewise, meanwhile, moreover, nevertheless, nonetheless, otherwise, similarly, still, then, therefore, thus
